Demo V.9
Greetings Leaflings!
It's Demo V.9! We want to have a 1.0 demo for the game by October's Steam Next fest. Really, there isn't a ton left for the 1.0 demo aside from some more balancing, whatever polish we can find, and some new Blessings to beat up enemies with, however we also want to work on the Early Access build for January.
There's a LOT of art left to make, mainly in the form of icons for game UI/general use. It's a slower process because not only does the art need to be made, but it has to be aligned for usage in fonts occasionally, and also align with the game's UI. Eventually we plan on having the game have a pretty seemless UI where players can know at a glance what sort of powers they have, but for now it's just lots of raw text.
Hypothetically, the worst offenses of QOL and bug issues are out, thanks to all the testing. There are a few sneaky bugs that show up on occasion, like objects Z fighting, but the biggest issue left is plain performance. There's a LOT of objects that interact and each patch aims to lower that burden a bit further, but there's a long ways to go. We still hope to have potatoes be able to play the game!
Big updates to look forward to in future patches: QOL updates like the game telling you how much damage each Blessing does BEFORE choosing them (I know. Fancy), and new categories of Blessings to mix in to your build, like creating cutting slashes of wind or freezing the enemy in ice!
Next patch will be end of September, which may have a minor update for the Demo, but will mostly focus on the Early Access build and Act 3 (the Demo stops at Act 2). If you want to be part of playing Acts 3 and 4 before the game comes out, join in our monthly testing that happens the last weekend of every month!
